Timber work, out to Aldinga
We're a Seaford-based building crew, and Aldinga and the southern coast are a regular run for us. The beach is on one side of the town and the Aldinga Scrub on the other. The homes here run from older beach places to new builds going up fast, and anything close to the water has to be built for salt air. A deck or pergola down here lives with the sea breeze, so we build in hardwood and pick the species and fixings to handle it.
Our recent work is just up the road. A hardwood pool deck and a boundary fence in Willunga, and a pergola in Corromandel Valley. All a short run from Aldinga, one crew and the same standard on every job.
Scotty's on every job. One crew, one standard, no subbies on the bits that matter. We keep two to three projects going at a time, so yours gets proper attention rather than being squeezed between ten others.
Decks, pergolas and fencing in Aldinga
Timber decks. Pool decks, raised decks and low-profile builds in hardwood, set out to make the most of the block and the view. See more on our timber decking page.
Pergolas and verandahs. Flat roof, gabled, louvred or angled battens, built to match the house and give you shade through a Fleurieu summer. More on the pergolas page.
Fencing and gates. Boundary fences, privacy screens and feature gates in timber, built for coastal exposure closer to the beach. More on timber fencing.
Not sure what the space wants? That's a good reason to get us out. We'll look at the block, talk through what suits, and quote it honestly.

Aldinga, answered honestly
Do you build decks and pergolas in Aldinga?
Yes. Aldinga and the coast down to Sellicks are well within where we work. Our recent builds are just up the road, a hardwood pool deck and a fence in Willunga and a pergola in Corromandel Valley, and we cover Aldinga Beach, Port Willunga, Maslin Beach and Sellicks from there.
Do I need council approval for a deck or pergola in Aldinga?
Aldinga sits in the City of Onkaparinga. Whether you need development approval comes down to size, height and how close the build is to a boundary. We build to the rules and let you know what applies to your site before we start. There's more detail in our SA council approval guide.
What timber holds up best by the coast at Aldinga?
Right on the water at Aldinga Beach and Port Willunga, salt air is the thing to design around, so we pick hardwood species and fixings that handle it. A little further back from the beach it's more about sun and seasonal movement. We choose the timber for your block, not off a standard list. Our decking timber guide runs through the options.
How far south do you go?
Through Willunga and down the Fleurieu to Aldinga, Sellicks, Myponga and on to Victor Harbor and Goolwa. If you're south of Adelaide and after timber work, it's worth a call.
